Privacy Policy
Effective July 16, 2026 (notice version 2026-07-16). Aisle Seat One LLC, established in the United States, operates Palabra and is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to info@aisleseatone.com.
Palabra processes the account information, profile information, learning content, lesson activity, progress, organization or school membership, support communications, and subscription or entitlement records needed to provide the service. We use this information to operate and secure Palabra, authenticate users, synchronize learning across devices, personalize the product, provide school and organization workspaces, process valid access and billing states, respond to support requests, and improve reliability and features.
If you choose to sign in or verify an email address with Google, Palabra requests only Google identity scopes: openid, email, and profile. The Google user data we access is limited to your Google account identifier, email address, email verification status, name/display name, and profile photo when Google provides it. Palabra does not request or access Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Contacts, Docs, or other Google Workspace content.
Palabra uses Google user data only to create or find your Palabra account, sign you in, verify account emails, protect the service, and maintain your session. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train generalized AI or ML models.
Google user data is stored only as account identity/authentication data and shared only with service providers that help us operate Palabra, such as authentication, hosting, support, and security providers, under confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
With your permission, Palabra uses Google Analytics 4 on its websites and Google Analytics for Firebase in the Palabra mobile app. Optional analytics is off until you allow it and is not required to use Palabra. We use it to measure aggregate traffic and feature use, assess signup and learning funnels, diagnose release issues, and improve the product.
Depending on the device and surface, Google Analytics may receive page or screen categories, feature interactions, session statistics, campaign categories, app version, browser and device information, a first-party cookie or app-instance identifier, country- or region-level approximate location, and limited diagnostics. Palabra configures its own analytics events to exclude names, email addresses, account or learner IDs, school, class, lesson, assignment, payment-provider, or other internal record IDs, raw URLs and query strings, lesson or vocabulary content, answers, messages, and other free text.
Palabra does not use Google Analytics for targeted advertising. Google Signals, user-provided data collection, ads personalization, granular city-level location and device-detail collection, and learner User-ID are disabled. Palabra does not attempt to combine people across its separate analytics properties. The Palabra Chrome extension and internal administration portal do not send product analytics.
Where consent is required, consent is the basis for optional analytics. You can refuse analytics without losing access to Palabra and can change or withdraw your choice in Privacy Settings. Withdrawal stops future analytics collection on that device or browser, but it does not automatically remove information already processed in aggregate reports. Because Analytics data is anonymous or device-level, Palabra may not always be able to identify a particular record for access or deletion.
Google Analytics user-level and event-level data is retained for a fixed 14 months, and the retention period does not reset when a user returns. Google may retain some aggregated reports differently. Any consented first-party signup-attribution snapshot is also deleted after 14 months.
Google provides the analytics service and may process information in countries where Google or its agents maintain facilities under Google's applicable data-processing terms. Because Aisle Seat One LLC is established in the United States, use of Palabra from another country may involve an international transfer of information.
Palabra previously used Mixpanel for product analytics. New Mixpanel collection has stopped and Mixpanel code, production configuration, and credentials have been removed. A small amount of historical data may remain in the inactive, read-only provider account while that account remains free; Palabra does not use it for new tracking.
You can delete your account at any time, which removes your personal data from active systems unless we are required to retain limited information for legal, billing, fraud-prevention, security, or regulatory reasons.
